Richard Philip Hart

Hart made his fortune supplying the army during the War of 1812. Twice he served in a public capacity, one as a representative in the Assembly of NY State from Rensselaer County (1821) and again as mayor of the city of Troy, from 1836 to 1838. Hart was sought in connection with almost every important enterprise in the Troy, NY area.
