Amos Eaton

Amos Eaton was a natural scientist, lawyer, author, and educator. In 1824, he co-founded The Rensselaer School in Troy, NY, which eventually evolved into today's Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the first higher education school of science and technology in the English-speaking world.
